Alexandra Burke has joined forces with TV Personality and Charity campaigner, Nick Ede to host a gala to raise money and awareness for stroke.

The event will take place on October 14th at Café De Paris and will consist of a cocktail reception, three course gourmet dinner and a whole host of celebrity guests and special performances. The event has been kindly supported by Boohoo.com and Baylis and Harding

Alexandra spoke of her late mother, Melissa who sadly passed away after suffering a stroke in August 2017.

Money raised from the event will go to the Melissa Bell Foundation, which will grant scholarships to young people at the Sylvia Young Theatre School and Style For Stroke Foundation which works with UK charity the Stroke Association and benefits other stroke related charities in the UK and worldwide.

Nick Ede is currently on the TV show Ultimate Matchmaker on W Channel and is well known for organising many globally recognised charity events including the Global Gift Gala, Pink London for the Pink Ribbon Foundation, MTV Staying Alive and Breast Cancer Now to name but a few. 

Alexandra Burke is one of the UK’s most successful pop stars which started with her record breaking debut single Hallelujah when she won the X Factor. Since then she has gone on to become a platinum selling recording artist and a West End star performing in Sister Act, The Bodyguard and she is just about to star in Chicago The Musical as Roxie Hart at the Phoenix Theatre.
